Size Guide

Anita Jane's corsets are designed to give a waist reduction of 2-4 inches.

To find out your corset size, measure your natural waist size, and deduct 3 or 4 inches from this number to get your corset size.

For example, if your natural waist measurement is 30 inch, then you should select a 26 inch corset, or if your natural waist measurement is 27 inch then you should select a 24 inch corset.

When choosing a corset size, it is important to measure your natural waist measurement first. To find your natural size, you need to wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, which for most women is an inch or so above the belly button.

Take this measurement in inches. It is important to measure your waist whilst relaxed to give the most accurate sizing, which will ensure your corset fits well.

As a general rule, a first time wearer should choose a corset that is 2-4 inches smaller than their natural waist measurement. Choose a 2 inch reduction if you are fairly slender already or only want  a small reduction and gentle shaping, with the back of the corset fully closed.

Opt for a four inch reduction if you want serious hourglass curves, or have a natural waist measurement of 32 inch or above, as the waist will naturally be  able to pull in more.

A more experienced wearer could choose a 4 inch waist reduction or more. So for example, a wearer with a natural waist of 31 inches could opt for a 28 inch corset to give a great fit and shaping.

When ordering a corset, it is very important to choose the correct size for your  figure requirements and reduction needed. If you don’t know where to begin or would rather leave it to Anita Jane, please call, then you will be advised, taking  away any element of guesswork.
